Directors

alltorc presently has two directors working in the business.

The company was initially formed  by Gary Blundell and Ron Taylor, who unfortunately recently had to retire due to ill health.

Kathryn Whatton joined the team in 2014

Gary Blundell  – CEO

  • Over 30 years of Senior Management experience in Engineering Companies in the UK and USA, working across a diverse range of markets
  • Well versed in the development of international business including establishment of overseas offices and representation.
  • Part of a Group PLC management team that successfully floated on the Unlisted Securities Market.
  • Senior Vice President of a specialised engineering components business based in the USA, oversaw a 200% increase in business revenues over a three-year period, achieving sales of $48million in year three.
  • Gained significant experience in the ERDF funded innovation initiatives working with Coventry & Warwickshire based academic Institutions and Agencies.
  • Co-founded Agency assisting inventors and entrepreneurs gain access to innovation grant programs through major universities.
  • Co-founded torc2 Ltd to develop a low melt thermoplastics compound for the purposes of replacing plaster of paris across a range of medical devices.
  • A driven natural leader and good communicator with significant sales, technical, production and general management experience both in the UK and US

Kathryn Whatton – CFO

  • Business development and marketing professional with over 30 years practical experience managing businesses and advising directors/owners. Experience working with blue chip, large and small organisations
  • Highly skilled in finance, marketing, database management, strategy,  excellent organisational skills, ability to translate concepts into actions. project management – organisation, implementation & cost management, measurement & analysis.
  • Excellent people management and motivation skills.
  • Managed and restructured a work wear business sales team resulting in £400,000 (10%) increase in turnover and greater retained profit in a twelve month period. Designed, developed and introduced an online  site working with some of their major blue chip and larger companies to offer a solution that resulted in a complete solution for all parties.
  • Managed successful implementation of a global Reward & Recognition programme for 25,000 employees of financial group AMP overcoming the many cultural issues found in a world wide business.
  • Restructured and managed cashflow of a £5m turnover company to ensure the business remained viable until a buyer was found enabling the owners to receive full value.

 Shareholders

The majority shareholders are Gary Blundell, Kathryn Whatton & Ron Taylor who between them hold a minimum 91% of the equity in each of the three companies

Prior to his recent retirement, due to ill health, Ron Taylor’s role within the businesses was Technical Director.

A Graduate Polymer Technologist with over 40 years Industrial Production and Sales experience in plastics conversion companies in Senior Management roles both in South Africa and the UK.

He gained significant experience in ERDF funded Innovation Initiatives working with Coventry and Warwick Academic Institutions.
